U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner (R-CO) visited Salud Family Health Centers on Thursday, November 10, during Delivery Week. Health center staff took the Congressman on a tour of their new Fort Morgan facility and talked about the role of Community Health Centers in meeting the needs of Colorado’s Medicaid clients, the value given for the Medicaid dollars, and why the health center Prospective Payment System under Medicaid is important.
In addition to meeting with the Congressman, Salud staff was also able to hand him petitions with 1,686 signatures, demonstrating strong community and patient support for their health center.
Additionally, Rep. Gardner visited High Plains Community Health Center in Lamar, Colorado, just last month, and the Congressman will also be receiving 637 petition signatures from Sunrise Community Health. Way to go Colorado advocates for making your voices heard!
